CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP – As the Republican secretary of the House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee, Rep. Stephenie Scialabba (R-Butler) is teaming up with Lutheran Senior Life Passavant Community and inviting World War II, Vietnam War and Korean War veterans, as well as spouses or family members, to a ribbon pinning ceremony on Friday, Nov. 10, at 2 p.m. at the Passavant Home’s Scholl Auditorium in Zelienople.
According to Scialabba, veterans, spouses and family members must be from the townships of Adams, Cranberry or Jackson, or the boroughs of Callery, Evans City, Harmony, Mars, Seven Fields, Valencia or Zelienople.
Scialabba said these heroes will be commemorated for their sacrifices and dedication to protecting our freedoms. Veterans who served in these wars will be invited to bring one family member or spouse with them to the ceremony.
Scialabba is asking eligible veterans to confirm attendance as space is limited. In order to reserve a spot, please contact Scialabba’s district office at 724-772-3110 and ask for Julia Desantes. She will provide you with more information.
